The beginning
I’m Michelle DeBay, creator, maker, and passionate believer in the power of mindful, heart-centered living.
Stone Rose Malas is named in tribute to my late grandmother, Bernice, who fueled my creative spirit as a child. She never discouraged my wild ideas; instead, she encouraged me to pick the fragrant wild roses that lined her country laneway and turn them into homemade perfume. Her gentle spirit and love of simple beauty live on in everything I make.
My journey into jewelry-making began almost by happy accident, a single gift for a special friend. Even then, I wanted it to hold more than beauty; I wanted it to carry meaning, intention, and the quiet strength of natural gemstone beads, carefully chosen for their unique energy.
Every mala, bracelet, and beaded creation is crafted by hand with love and mindfulness. Each stone has its own story and energetic signature, The result? Pieces that are as unique as the souls who wear them, deeply personal, symbolic, and timeless.

When designing a piece, I begin with intention. I take time to feel into the energy I want the piece to carry ,whether it’s calm and grounding, heart‑opening, or gently empowering. This intention becomes the quiet thread that guides the creative process, shaping not just how a mala or bracelet will look, but how it will feel to wear.
From there, I carefully select natural beads whose unique properties complement and balance each other. I consider color, texture, and the quiet conversation between each bead so that, together, they harmonize into something greater than the sum of their parts. Each finished piece is a small story of intention, energy, and love, ready to accompany its wearer on their own unique journey.
